Trustap is redefining the payment space by making online payments safer for buyers and more profitable for the merchants who drive them. For too long, digital trade has been a compromise, with buyers fearing fraud and merchants getting squeezed by high fees. We bridge that gap and create an ecosystem where commerce can thrive.
About Us
Trustap handles payments, fulfilment, and support for more than 250 marketplaces and ecommerce stores worldwide across event tickets, pre-owned apparel, vehicles, electronics, and luxury goods. We support more than 100 countries and currencies, integrate with Stripe for processing and with Amazon and 640+ carriers for fulfilment, and operate across six offices globally. In the first half of 2025, transaction volume grew 370% year over year.
Story
Trustap was founded in Cork in 2016 by Conor Lyden, then an engineering student at University College Cork, after he identified a gap in secure peer-to-peer payments while buying and selling Liverpool football tickets online. He developed the initial concept through UCC's IGNITE programme and incorporated the company that same year.
Trustap now operates across 135 countries with offices in Cork, Dublin, London, Barcelona, Zagreb, and New York, and serves marketplaces in every major asset class traded online. We raised our Series A in 2024 and continue to scale internationally from our headquarters in Cork.
Idea is born
Trustap was founded in Cork by Conor Lyden. After experiencing the anxiety of buying second-hand tickets online, he realised the world needs a safer way for strangers to transact.
First steps
We joined the IGNITE start-up incubator at University College Cork.
HQ opens
A massive year of growth. Trustap opened its new headquarters in Cork and our first satellite office in Croatia.
Fundraising & Strategic Growth
We successfully completed our Series A funding round, allowing us to expand into new markets.
New Products & Markets
We launched our ecommerce product and expanded Motors into the US.

The team has grown to 40+ experts across Ireland, Croatia, Spain, the UK, and the US, working with over 300+ customers.
